Random Stuff

A few random thoughts:

1. Nanowrimo is going well. I was at about 6200 words last night, only about 400 short of the minimum daily pace. But 400 words is easy to make up, and since I can't work out tonight (see item 3 below), I'll have plenty of time to devote to writing.

2. Obama is the apparent President-elect. *sigh* I just hope that his unwise tax policies don't push the country too much further into the recession. I'd rather have a healthy business and a good salary than a one-time tax rebate. I don't understand how exit polls can cite voters' #1 concern as the economy and then those same voters elect Obama.

3. I jammed my toe two nights ago while working out. It's stopped throbbing, thank goodness, but it's a lovely shade of purple, and I'm hoping that I won't lose the nail.

Nanowrimo Again

Nanowrimo 2008 officially started at midnight last night. I was up, but I was too tired to haul out the laptop and try to get even a few hundred words. Later this morning -- after I finish my coffee -- I'll be jumping into it. I've had a lot of good ideas for the plotting the last few days, and those have all been written down in my notebook. We'll see how it goes.
